Day 38 - to Gackle & the Honey Hub

Did 66 miles with 10 mph  headwinds and several small hills - Legs are shot. Tomorrow will be a rest day with thunderstorms predicted for the afternoon.  Staying at the Honey Hub. A nice home with two beds for cyclists a large back yard for tents as well as a shower and washer.  The owner let’s bicyclists share his home as there is nowhere else to stay in Gackle. We met several other cross country riders who have been very nice and have told us about the road ahead. Robert is from Bowling Green and is going East to West. We also met Larry in Hazelton and stayed at the same city park. He helped on the headwinds coming to Gackle. Robert and Larry also are taking rest days tomorrow.  We hear the hills will soon end. We are now back up to approximately 2000’ elevation.  Went by several nice large lakes with wetlands and lots of ducks. I am sure will see more in Minnesota.
