Got an early start (7:30) to try and beat some of the heat.
It helped but still was a very hot day in the upper 90’s with lots of 100’ climbs. Stopped after 45 miles in Sand Springs. Sandy who runs the RV campsite, Post Office, and the general store there took very good care of us and got us a comping spot for free. Tomorrow is a shorter day but with lots of climbing and also cooler. I had a root beer float at the end of the ride and it was delicious!
