Will have a rest day tomorrow and see the area then leave NY and go into Vermont. Had mostly county roads with tailwinds and rollers and mainly downhill. (Had two long downhills of 900 feet and 1100 feet!) Adventure Cycling had us on a “hard packed dirt” road for 1 mile. It was dirt with some smaller gravel and sand. I got my front wheel stuck in the sand and went down once and almost 3 times. State HWY 74 had a narrow shoulder and lots of traffic. Did 48 miles to the super 8 motel.
